FolkActive are profiled on a double page spread in the latest issue of the EFDSS magazine English Dance and Song. Really good to get support and recognition from the the national folk arts development organisation for England.

A couple of weeks ago we received the certificate of incorporation that makes us a Community Interest Company and we’re now officially open for business! Please do get in touch if you’d like any more information about our activities.

This week we started the process for becoming a Community Interest Company – FolkActive CIC here we come!

A CIC is a legal form for social enterprises, or businesses whose activities have a social benefit. CICs have their own regulator but in most other respects are a normal limited company.
